Najib Canaan is the New York based US Operating Partner at AGC Equity Partners.
Mr. Canaan has over 30 years of investment experience.
Previously, Mr. Canaan was the CEO of Kingswood US Holdings, an international wealth management platform and the founder and CIO of Marinus Capital Advisor, an alternative investment management firm. Mr. Canaan was Managing Director and Head of Structured Finance at GSO Capital, a Blackstone Group affiliate. Mr. Canaan was Executive Managing Director and Co-Head of International Markets at Nomura Securities International (2003-2006) and Co-Head of Fixed Income (Europe) for Nomura International PLC (2001-2003). Prior to Nomura, Mr. Canaan was a Principal and Managing Director at Donaldson, Lufkin & Jenrette. Mr. Canaan has served as an Executive Board Member of The Bond Market Association (now SIFMA).
Mr. Canaan holds a B.S. in Electrical Engineering (1986) and a Masters of Engineering (Acheson Scholar) in Nuclear Engineering – School of Applied and Engineering Physics (1987), all from Cornell University (Ithaca, NY).
